How basic am I? Even my @phlster is pumpkin-spice. How basic am I? Even my @phlster is pumpkin-spice. Bought my @modlitesystems PL350 from show sponsor @bigtexordnance and it showed up today (fast shipping!) So far, I dig it.
I once heard an instructor say "The road to hell i I once heard an instructor say "The road to hell is paved with live demos" and while there's some truth to that, I personally think it's INCREDIBLY important for an instructor be willing to do anything they're asking the students to do.

This was my target from a cold demo of the advanced Test (10 rounds/10 yards/10 seconds/from the holster) that I ran folks through as a culmination to a class I had the honor and privilege to run last night. In this instance the pieces came together pretty well, but it's entirely possible (because it happens all the time) that that might not have been the case.

I have my own opinions obviously, but I'm curious to hear what you folks think. Should instructors be demoing in class the skills that they're teaching?
@northamericanrescue recently shared @armed_and_st @northamericanrescue recently shared @armed_and_styled ‘s excellent post regarding safely holstering a firearm. As one might expect, the comments were, special.

Anyway, the point of this post is to point at that a properly set up AIWB holster does not cover any part of the shooter’s anatomy while holstering.

“But what about holstering while seated?” 1. I’m trying to imagine any situation in a non-training environment that would require me to holster the pistol while seated and I’m having a difficult time coming up with anything.

2. IF you need to holster AIWB while seated, spread your legs and bridge your hips.

Commence the “mah junk!” comments in 3…2…1.

These people are my family. If you saw us standing These people are my family. If you saw us standing next to each other you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell, but I feel every bit as strongly about that connection as I would if we shared common genetic material, more so in fact. I am so thankful that I got time with them this last weekend, and even more grateful that another member of my family, @tamarakeel snagged a picture of us.

The @phlster Light-Bearing Enigma concealment chas The @phlster Light-Bearing Enigma concealment chassis and Ascent magazine pouch paired with a @darkstargear Rigel WML compatible holster continues to impress.

Thursday I spent 15 hours driving the 1,000 miles down to Dallas for the @rangemasterllc Tactical Conference with @tamarakeel.

Friday I managed to finish 8th overall in the paper match (out of 170 or so shooters) while wearing yoga pants and a thin t-shirt, additionally I attended the excellent training available at the conference, including a very solid class with @tim.tdrtraining.

Saturday I attended both live-fire and classroom training blocks, including an excellent class with @timherronshooting, then spent the evening catching up with my family of choice.

Sunday I was honored to make it into the Man vs. Man shootoff as part of the top 16 competitors, where I was eliminated in the second round by the competitor who would end up losing in the final round to the match champion. With Tom and Lynn's permission, and as a test of the capabilities of this concealment system I competed in gym shorts and another thin t-shirt. I was also privileged with the opportunity to train with @thecompletecombatant , whom I consider to be the best currently active instructor in the country.

Monday, I made the same 15 hour/1,000 mile drive back home.

All while carrying a @boresightsolutions G45 with @parkermountainmachine.pmm Comp, @surefire_llc X300U, @holosunph 507C in addition to an OEM @glockinc 24 round magazine.

I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a product. It has my highest recommendation.
