Chicago folks, @dangerpixieactual and I will be ru Chicago folks, @dangerpixieactual and I will be running The Armed Parent/Guardian in Racine the beginning of June. We’d love to see you out there!
New concealment gear? Can’t think of a better wa New concealment gear? Can’t think of a better way to test comfort than a 13 hour drive.
These people are my family. If you saw us standing These people are my family. If you saw us standing next to each other you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell, but I feel every bit as strongly about that connection as I would if we shared common genetic material, more so in fact. I am so thankful that I got time with them this last weekend, and even more grateful that another member of my family, @tamarakeel snagged a picture of us.
50 rounds WHO at 5 yards, .3-.4 splits. For me thi 50 rounds WHO at 5 yards, .3-.4 splits. For me this is excellent, and most importantly, CONSISTENT performance.
A few weekends ago I attended @shivworks_and_alumn A few weekends ago I attended @shivworks_and_alumni ECQC in Wisconsin. This was my second go at ECQC and while this one was certainly a better experience than the first, I find myself REALLY wanting to get to a third one as soon as I’m able. Craig has been an amazingly positive influence on me, both professionally and personally. I simply cannot recommend this class highly enough. Make it a priority to get yourself to one.
How basic am I? Even my @phlster is pumpkin-spice. How basic am I? Even my @phlster is pumpkin-spice. Bought my @modlitesystems PL350 from show sponsor @bigtexordnance and it showed up today (fast shipping!) So far, I dig it.
Full Disclosure: I consider the Hauptmans close pe Full Disclosure: I consider the Hauptmans close personal friends of mine.

Sunday evening I was gifted a pre-production sample of @phlster's soon to be released Light Bearing Enigma concealment chassis, paired with a @darkstargear Rigel holster. For those that don't know, the Rigel is a G34 length holster.

The following day I drove 700+ miles over the course of 13 hours in the pictured setup carrying my @boresightsolutions G45 with Trijicon RMR, Surefire x300, and 18 rounds of 124gr +P Gold Dot.

I can say with 100% certainty that this was the most physically comfortable I've been while carrying a full size handgun with WML, EVER. So much so that it's completely changed my definition of "comfort" for that scenario. I don't recall adjusting the gun once during the entire drive, nor do I recall adjusting it during the 2 times I stopped for gas. I simply placed the gun in the optimal physical position for me, and it stayed there without shifting, completely independent of my clothing, under what many commentators on the internet would have you believe are the most difficult conditions there are for physical comfort and AIWB carry.

The gun was concealed, accessible, and secure, the entire trip. The gun happened to be all of those things while I was wearing sweatpants. The gun would have also been all of those things in regular pants, gym shorts, dress pants, or even without pants at all (ok, maybe not the concealed part).

I cannot stress enough how much of a paradigm shift the Enigma family of products represents for concealed carriers of all shapes, sizes, and genders. If you're thinking of this simply as a "niche" product, or a product that will primarily benefit individuals of one specific type, I would respectfully disagree with you.

With the caveat and understanding that there are no 100% solutions that will work for every single person in existence, I struggle to think of a product that I've ever run across in my career that I have been more excited by, or would give a higher recommendation to try out.

If we were using a 10 point scale, with 10 representing the highest possible favorable opinion of a product, this one goes to 11.
The @phlster Light-Bearing Enigma concealment chas The @phlster Light-Bearing Enigma concealment chassis and Ascent magazine pouch paired with a @darkstargear Rigel WML compatible holster continues to impress.

Thursday I spent 15 hours driving the 1,000 miles down to Dallas for the @rangemasterllc Tactical Conference with @tamarakeel.

Friday I managed to finish 8th overall in the paper match (out of 170 or so shooters) while wearing yoga pants and a thin t-shirt, additionally I attended the excellent training available at the conference, including a very solid class with @tim.tdrtraining.

Saturday I attended both live-fire and classroom training blocks, including an excellent class with @timherronshooting, then spent the evening catching up with my family of choice.

Sunday I was honored to make it into the Man vs. Man shootoff as part of the top 16 competitors, where I was eliminated in the second round by the competitor who would end up losing in the final round to the match champion. With Tom and Lynn's permission, and as a test of the capabilities of this concealment system I competed in gym shorts and another thin t-shirt. I was also privileged with the opportunity to train with @thecompletecombatant , whom I consider to be the best currently active instructor in the country.

Monday, I made the same 15 hour/1,000 mile drive back home.

All while carrying a @boresightsolutions G45 with @parkermountainmachine.pmm Comp, @surefire_llc X300U, @holosunph 507C in addition to an OEM @glockinc 24 round magazine.

I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a product. It has my highest recommendation.
If you had told me ten years ago that you could co If you had told me ten years ago that you could conceal all of this in a pair of yoga pants and thin t-shirt I’d have asked you for some of whatever you were smoking. Soon to be released @phlster Light Bearing Enigma coupled with @phlster Ascent Mag Pouches and a @darkstargear Rigel holster.
