I’m out at @bigtexrange until Tuesday and I took I’m out at @bigtexrange until Tuesday and I took advantage of the in-store pickup option that @bigtexordnance has to finally get a @thyrm LPC for my @modlitesystems handheld. In playing with it for the last hour I *need* another one for my 18650 body.
A few weeks ago I picked this @official_staccato20 A few weeks ago I picked this @official_staccato2011 P DUO up and immediately (less than 24 hours later) ran it through Gabe White’s AMAZINGLY EXCELLENT two day Pistol Shooting Solutions class held at @impactshootingcenter Special thanks to @2011yoda for giving me the opportunity to get some time on a gun I’m seeing much more frequently in @citizensdefenseresearch classes. Also, massive shoutout to @phlster for their LB Enigma and @modlitesystems PL350 Floodlight. Between excellent instruction from Gabe and support gear that was set on “easy mode” I managed to perform pretty well that weekend. On an unrelated note, if you’re looking for some Ballistic Radio SWAG show sponsor @bigtexordnance is doing something pretty cool…

If you saw us standing next to each other you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell, but I feel every bit as strongly about that connection as I would if we shared common genetic material, more so in fact. I am so thankful that I got time with them this last weekend, and even more grateful that another member of my family, @tamarakeel snagged a picture of us.
I once heard an instructor say "The road to hell i I once heard an instructor say "The road to hell is paved with live demos" and while there's some truth to that, I personally think it's INCREDIBLY important for an instructor be willing to do anything they're asking the students to do.

This was my target from a cold demo of the advanced Test (10 rounds/10 yards/10 seconds/from the holster) that I ran folks through as a culmination to a class I had the honor and privilege to run last night. In this instance the pieces came together pretty well, but it's entirely possible (because it happens all the time) that that might not have been the case.

I have my own opinions obviously, but I'm curious to hear what you folks think. Should instructors be demoing in class the skills that they're teaching?
If you had told me ten years ago that you could co If you had told me ten years ago that you could conceal all of this in a pair of yoga pants and thin t-shirt I’d have asked you for some of whatever you were smoking. Soon to be released @phlster Light Bearing Enigma coupled with @phlster Ascent Mag Pouches and a @darkstargear Rigel holster.
