Be Cool, Honey Bunny (Podcast – Season 5, Ballistic Radio Episode 246, March 18th, 2018)

“You are far more likely to disengage, far more likely to use soft management skills if you are in an environment where there are serious consequences to using force. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that you sometimes need to risk your own personal safety a little bit more to disengage and get out of the situation where you might otherwise take a safer option and employ force earlier.” — Trevor

It’s a Ballistic Radio mystery guest, here to lend some life experience on a very important topic relevant to many in today’s culture who wish to go armed: carrying in a Non-Permissive Environment (NPE). A NPE is any environment where being caught carrying certain defensive tools–such as guns or knives–may have negative consequences. These consequences can range anywhere from losing a friend, a job, or even facing legal action.

Our guest, Trevor, helps us better understand these environments and what to consider when we weigh whether to risk carrying in them. If you work or live in a non-permissive environment, or just have friends or family who would not be accepting of your armed lifestyle, you will want to hear this episode.
